Yeah I take Eliquis too. IV insertions and removals are such fun!

I always watch both insertion and taking it out. One of these days I’m going to faint!

halliebeth, are you off the painkillers? If you are still on them, I know they can cause me to hallucinate.

No I have had 3 pulmonary emboli episodes since 2005. One after surgery, one when I was off blood thinner for 2.5 years and the last was after a biopsy where I had to go off Eliquis for 3 days. Now I have to have heparin whenever I get a tooth pulled, get a biopsy, surgery, etc. I’m on life-long anticoagulation. They never found a reason I get clots. It’s a mystery.

I clot too fast. Factor 2 gene mutation I got from one parent. Likely my dad as he had a blood clot in his heart when he died

That’s what scares me! I have had blood clots in my lungs 3 times. It just takes one to the heart or brain and you’re dead!

Guess he’s not concerned as he never called me back. They said he would but he didn’t.

I guess in two weeks if I’m still sane I’ll see him.

He called at 7:50pm. He upped my Risperdal to theee time a day again. I see him Oct 14. Man works hard. Best Pdoc I’ve had. Never mentioned needing an assessment but said to keep working hard at work.
