I was still working. We hadn’t shut down yet. The manager told us not to steal the toilet paper. I was pretty freaked out and had stockpiled a lot of food and stuff. I was going through a lot of other stuff which made things really difficult.

I was still working. They sent everyone home but for me and my boss because we were "duty". But they did give me a pass to the underground parking garage and allow me to drive in so I wouldn't have to take public transportation.

Was also still working. The agency I worked for declared us all essential workers and told us to work from home. I'd predicted they would and brought all my files, laptop, etc home ahead of time.

I was between ski season and rides season (my seasonal jobs) and the park ended up not opening until August and I only worked three days before quitting because my job turned into yelling at people to put masks on (in 100 degree heat wearing masks all day ourselves and doing so much cleaning with both bleach and ammonia—they had to check our temperature before letting us on the property and if we weren’t there for opening we had to sit in a cooling shack before not reading 100+ degrees).

I was in Argentina. I had to leave and go back to the USA in a repatriation flight.

I was in Chile and the first case in this country was discovered on March 3. I had already been working from home, so I stayed that way. My husband was also put on telework. The first lockdowns started in the capital in March. We were spared until May in my area, but by then, they had made the rules a lot stricter.

I was working in food retail, things got very bad very quickly, people were like animals for the most part, grabbing as much as they could. We got horrendously big deliveries but they got stripped out immediately.

Yeah that’s why I started stocking up in February 2020. I knew then that all hell would break loose with this virus.

Funny thing though is that I ended up donating most of it it to the food pantry in 2021.

I was cleaning out some files, etc. out of an old phone that I want to repurpose today. I came across my mobility pass, which showed I was vaccinated. Once things started opening up, you had to show that for certain activities like indoor dining. Although, most times we went out once things were opening up, no one asked to see it. We live in a sort of rural/exurb area, so I guess they assumed health authorities wouldn't be checking out this way.

Definitely a blast from the past!

We were already isolating because of mum’s health. Switched over to contactless grocery delivery. Between the disappearance of TP and the official announcement I went to Walmart during their off hours a bought us a pile of book, I figured the library would close, and they did. But then they opened limited hours and you ordered book online, then drove up and they brought them out and put them in your car. That saved us from going nuts. Mum never did completely go out again.

I’m glad you donated it. I believe there were many who just dumped perfectly good food because they couldn’t eat it before it went off. Heartbreaking.

I still won’t let the toilet paper get anywhere near running out at home.
