Perhaps no one else will answer because I think about health too much but here is mine.

- I think improperly absorbed calcium, in part, causes insulin resistance.

Yup. I said it. I saw this diagram once in a book about how insulin opens up the cell to allow sugar in. I just had this eureka theory that the lock gets gummed up with calcium that is out in the blood stream and your cells over time lose the ability to let insulin open up the cell for sugar to go in. Calcium is a known contributor to plaque what is to say it couldn't be gumming up your cells' insulin receptors as well.

A lot of things that allow your body to absorb calcium out of the blood stream and into your bones - such as Magnesium, Vitamin D, K2, also improve insulin resistance. Why would they do that If it wasn't related to their effects on calcium.

Insulin Resistance is associated with eating a lot. Could you also be getting a lot of calcium if you eat a lot... and if you don't have sufficient Vitamin D, Magnesium, K2 it is all sitting out there in your blood stream?

Anyone else have theories that you just think and follow for yourself?

I cant think of one right now, but yours makes sense to me. I suffered a lot from PMS which is alleviated by chocolate and peanuts right? I.e., Magnesium. And have diabetes now, and for at least 30 years?

No wait - here is my theory - that women should eat differently for each of the (say) 4 weeks of their menstrual cycle. Roughly as follows: Week 1: Period starts: Lightly. Soup and salad. 2: Sandwich 3: im not sure - chicken? Week 4: salt, fiber, and red meat.
Thanks for this!

My colon test was positive in December and I have a theory I might have cancer and won't be able to stop it. My sister in law's mother died pretty fast from colon cancer at 55.
I have a theory my brain is majorly screwed up because my bipolar is severe and was told I'm autistic, too. It took professionals 40 years to figure out I have Asperger's. How sick is that. They just used to stare at me every time I went into the hospital and abuse and ignore me.
My anhedonia has been terrible since I was 14 and caused major problems relating to myself and others.

Interesting...

I have another theory.. close to yours... you know how everyone is waring over how we should eat? Keto, Low fat, Fasting.

My theory is that we should eat differently within the year. Four months Keto, Four months Low fat, four months intermittent fasting. That way we get the benefits of each without the long term harms (if any ) and we mix our bodies up. It would also satisfy our tastebuds because you get to eat different foods on each.

Was this Cologuard / fit? I hope you know those routinely have false positives. But I hear you. I just had an appointment today with a gastroenterologist and it was so stupid. All the information I got from him I could have gotten off the internet. I am going to have to get my own tests and figure things out myself because he is no help.

Kind of weird, but when I was having really bad mental health issues when I was a teenager, I prayed for them to go away and that I would deal with anything else.

Now I’m 33 and my mental health is fine but my physical health is a bit of a mess. I feel like I sold my soul to the devil or something

I have this theory that doctors are in it for the money. I don't believe that high cholesterol causes heart attacks, because 50% of people who have heart attacks do not have high cholesterol. But primary care physicians are content to occupy themselves with managing your blood pressure and managing your cholesterol. Statins are the most prescribed medication in the world. My cardiology people wanted to double my statin dose. My cholesterol was 115. I said "why?" They said "you can't have too low cholesterol." There was a recent study of 375,000 where those with the lowest cholesterol had the highest morbidity. Last year, in spite of the billions spent on cardiac care, cardiac deaths increased. Why would you want to change a successful business model just because it doesn't yield the results patients want?

Oh, everything you said is stone cold fact! When I was 30 I broke up with my doctor because she insisted that I get on statins and I told her no. My cholesterol was 250 and has been since I was 30. At 50 years old I had my CAC. Zero score. Yet my doctor still wanted me on statins.

I am sorry I just can't believe cholesterol is the problem after it has been high for 20+ years and I show zero sign of plaques.

I did recently get a prescription for Crestor because I had fatty liver. There is some science that fatty liver could be caused by excessive cholesterol. But I have yet to take them and I am getting follow up tests to see if I still have fatty liver after giving up sugar and losing some weight.
