i got faint and very poor sex, but i cannot change the med i take.

Buspirone Hydrochloride Tablets
1 at noon, 2 at night
Ziprasidone Hydrochloride
3 at noon, 3 at night
Quetiapine Fumarate
1 at night

some told me the amount is just too high, and some told me just take two of them. i am new here so i cannot ask for help in a 'suitable' way, so i searched the net and want to know my problem exactly.

Welcome to MSF @chaand1988 - I am sorry but I do not know what they are for or what your condition is. Talk to prescriber or pharmacist and maybe they can help.

Good to meet you.

I see by your location you are in China. and the photos of the medications are also not in my location USA and english.

I cant tell you what and why your own treatment providers have prescribed those meds for you.

what I can tell you is that here in the USA those medications are prescribed for all kinds of things.

medications dont just work for one thing. I could "google" your list but that doesnt mean its for what "google" would say.

for example Im on an allergy medication but for me its prescribed as a sleep aid not for allergies.

to find out what your medications are for and why your doctor prescribed them - you can remember / think back to what you and your doctor talked about, what you told them about your problem and what your doctor told you the medications were for. and you can call your doctor to ask them what the medications are and what they are for.

the pharmacy can tell you what the meds are in general, but not why your doctor prescribed them or what your doctor prescribed them for. only you and your doctor knows that information.

Both ziprasidone and quetiapine are anti-pyschotics and I believe can cause lightheadness/feeling faint. Quetiapine usually makes me very sleepy, so it makes sense to take that at night. Buspirone is for anxiety; I used to take it once in the morning, once at night, and didn't have noticeable side effects, but I don't tend to get a ton of side effects with meds; that varies person to person. I take 300 mg of the quetiapine at night and used to take 30 mg of the buspirone twice a day. As far as the ziprasidone, I'm not sure if that is a bit high for the dose; hopefully someone who has more experience with that med can tell you whether the dose is too high or not.

As far as sex goes, pretty much any psych med seems to have to the ability to decrease sex drive; there's really not much you can do other than ask your doctor about trying different meds that may have fewer sexual side effects.

Medications typically used to treat psychotic issues as caused by schizophrenia and bipolar type I with manic states. Buspirone is for generalized anxiety.
Diagnosis is for insurance purposes, in my opinion. I have taken quietapine (Seroquel) to treat severe insomnia in association with major depression. I was prescribed Buspirone (Buspar) but did not find it helpful.
Seroquel did help me sleep, but I didn't wake clear headed. Despite taking an anti psychotic, I never considered myself as suffering from psychosis. Your condition is not necessarily defined by the medications you take. If you do not intend to follow your doctor's advice, consider paying your friends for theirs.

I've taken Seroquel and Geodon for agitation. I'm bipolar with agitated depression. They didn't effect me sexually. Only meds that effected me sexually was propranolol and paxil.

Paxil and Effexor both turned my horn into a buzzer. Lexapro (escitalopram) has no sexual side effects for me. I recommend it if you need an SSRI.

Post not the number of pills you take, but the total dose you take. Ziprasidone comes in 20 mg capsules, 40 mg, 60 mg and probably more. Knowing the number of pills you take doesn't tell us what dose you consume.

In the US, our drug regulator, called the FDA, sets a maximum limit for each approved medication. Beyond that limit they are considered unsafe. The max for Ziprasidone is 160 mg. The max for Quetiapine Fumarate is 800 mg. Figure our what your daily (total) dose of your drugs is and post it.

So you were taking the FDA-approved maximum dose and it was too high for you, causing side effects: sedation, numbness, possibly depression. And the dose was reduced to see if those side effects will go away. Did the dose reduction help? Are you more active now?

When you say poor sex, do you mean low libido or a long time to reach orgasm or no orgasm at all or anhedonic ejaculation (you ejaculate but feel no release and no joy)? I am assuming you are a man, but correct me if I am wrong.
