I’m sick of this ****… apparently I’m too conservative for the liberals, too liberal for the conservatives, too intelligent, too honest… I am not someone who you can fit neatly into a little ****ing box. I have my opinions— you are completely allowed to disagree with me. But don’t expect me to change mine just because they make you uncomfortable. I use big words when I’m not cussing— apparently, that makes people uncomfortable. It’s just so irritating… everyone says they want to find someone— but the minute the someone they’re currently talking to is not something that is convenient for them (i.e., someone they can easily pigeonhole or categorize and fit into their life easily), they’re not interested. If you want to actually get to know someone and develop a relationship with them, it takes time and effort on both sides. If you aren’t willing to put the time and effort into getting to know me, then you’re ****ing wasting my time. And getting my hopes up… and then smashing them on the floor. **** you very much.

@indigo1015 A person should be able to have their own point of view but apparently that's no longer allowed in this day and age. You try to be respectful and not step on people's toes, and then they go out of their way to stomp on yours. I was actually called a wild horse that needed taming here on MSF because I have my own opinions and live my life based on those beliefs. Not my loss though. People like that can go join their herd of like-minded people and I'll continue to think for myself. Mind you, I do respect people with differing beliefs, but they don't respect mine. I have no trouble walking away from people like that, respectfully.

Okay but how do you really feel? Just teasing. I'm sure you know that the people who need to know that will probably never read that but maybe it made you feel better to get it out there. Playing devil's advocate here... I don't think most people worth knowing are expecting someone to fit neatly into any category other than reasonable and rational. I'm not saying that I'm an example of someone worth knowing but I don't choose my friends based on whether their political beliefs or views on societal structures align with my views. I don't think anyone can be too honest or too intelligent. I've pretty much dispensed with liberal/conservative labels. What matters most to me is whether you are kind, compassionate, and fair. If you wear a red cap and loudly/angrily insist you are the silent majority or believe in fascism, theocracy or oligarchy we probably wouldn't get along well.
BTW sometimes we just expect too much from others. I've been guilty of that myself.
